Job Responsibilities:
∎ Act as a team member while conducting audit & inspection of branches, Citygem priority centers and agent banking outlets, head office divisions, departments, units, foreign exchange business & operation, core risk areas and subsidiaries of the bank and ensure completion of the audit work timely and effectively
∎ Assist the team lead to conduct effective and comprehensive internal audit or investigation is an independent, objective assurance and consulting manner designed to add value and improve the bank's operations
∎ Participate as a team member to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes of the audit unit in a systematic and disciplined manner
∎ Prepare report on the audit findings/facts uncovered during the course of audit and submit to team lead the Head of Audit Cluster. Prior to reporting these findings, ensure verification of all facts and findings substantiated with appropriate evidence
∎ Make recommendations for the audited entities in such a manner that will ultimately increase the operational efficiency of the bank
∎ During fieldwork, gather evidence in order to determine the status of operations and controls within a particular area, which will be the basis for the auditor's conclusions about the audit assignment
∎ Document the audit work properly in the working papers by recording the information obtained and include sufficient information to support the basis for findings and recommendations
∎ Conduct audit in a comprehensive manner in order to highlight all major/appropriate findings in the audit report before any findings by a third-party or Regulator (including fines, penalty etc.)
∎ Assist the team lead to follow-up with the auditee branch/division for post validation of audit findings and to ensure that observations are actively complied with and recurrence is prevented
∎ Ensure that the documentation or working papers for audit/inspection is completely collected, filed and indexed
∎ Identify income leakages or not realization of various charges as per schedule of charges or, such lapses those may cause direct/indirect financial loss
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ Any other professional certification like Chartered Accountant (Part qualified) etc. is preferred
∎ Highly flexible with a strong commitment to deadlines
∎ Sound knowledge in Microsoft-Office
∎ Good understanding of audit concepts & techniques
∎ Good analytical and problem solving skills
∎ Multitasking ability
∎ Good presentation skills and is proficient in writing/compiling quality reports
∎ Stretch the knowledge/capability associated with audit/inspection through training/certification/study
