Job Context:
∎ The position will work under the direct supervision of the Clinical SRH Manager and will be responsible for playing a key role in the timely implementation of educational and promotional activities as well as supporting community awareness / mobilization activities related to Reproductive Health and COVID 19 prevention for men, women, and girls in multiple locations of Rohingya camps. S/he will also be responsible for providing capacity development to male volunteers to strengthen their understanding of male engagement activities. The position will directly supervise male volunteers. The position will closely work with the Clinical SRH Manager and Midwives in ensuring the quality of the program while will be directly accountable for implementation and budget utilization related to male engagement activity. Close day to day interaction will also be required with the Operations team, Safety Security team, Fleet team and Finance team.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Program Management and Development:
∎ Capacity building of volunteers by organizing and facilitating training on men’s module; (the content of the module is the participation of men in establishing a society of non-violent, equal participation, improving the quality of maternal and child health services, participatory planning and actions, gender equality, women's and girls' empowerment, and prevention of gender and identity-based violence)
∎ Support male volunteers in forming male groups within the community
∎ Support male volunteers to conduct outreach and engagement sessions with male members of the community.
∎ Capacity building on Key SRH messages and the benefits of SRH services and promote health-seeking behaviours, COVID-related prevention, and health promotion messages.
∎ Support volunteers to enlist the community mosques and religious leaders to safely transmit SRH messages.
∎ Ensure that all components of the male engagement activities are implemented according to the guidelines and that regular monitoring and feedback mechanisms are in place.
∎ Promote the culture of learning and documentation so that lessons learned, and good practices are documented and shared for institutional memory and learning.
∎ Monitor and supervise the referral system and follow the referral protocol from the Govt. and sector.
∎ Ensure men and boys are engaged in male engagement activities to work as allies to empower women and girls.
∎ Organizing a Majhi/Imam meeting to share information and collect feedback (at least once per quarter).
∎ Actively monitoring the perceptions from communities by ensuring organize regular Focus Group Discussions and door-to-door activities.
∎ Ensure monthly submission of the summary sheet with attendance of male volunteers.
∎ Ensure volunteers remain informed for timely monthly payment.
∎ Staff Supervision & Development:
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff (CHV) to successfully perform in their positions.
∎ Supervision and Monitoring for the male volunteers and help them to compile the data from the community mobilizations and sessions.
∎ Ensure the timely recruitment of male volunteers maintaining IRC’s guidelines.
∎ Monitor male volunteer’s performance, inform to supervisor if not performing well and ensure timely CV collection and replacement.
∎ Convening the team regularly on progress, successes and challenges and make timely adjustments to the activities; and reporting back to the supervisor.
∎ Coordination & Representation:
∎ Represent IRC to and proactively engage in relevant coordination fora and meetings at field level.
∎ Develop and maintain effective functional relationships and linkages with all relevant stakeholders, including government stakeholders (CIC), site management, NGOs, UN agencies etc. to enhance cooperation and coordination in camp.
∎ S/he will be responsible for need assessment approval and project completion approval for the project in different camps.
∎ S/he will be responsible for CIC report submission in the assigned camps.
∎ Coordinate internally within IRC on a regular basis with support departments, including Supply Chain, Finance, HR/Admin and M&E.
∎ Coordinate regularly with the Clinical SRH Manager, Midwife and male volunteers regarding program risk and issues, develop contingency planning, and identify opportunities and coordination mechanisms.
∎ Monitoring & Reporting:
∎ Keep a record of all the health education/promotional sessions (disaggregated by gender/ age/ IDP/Host etc.).
∎ Responsible for compiling timely monthly community mobilization activity reports and data compilation.
∎ Responsible for recording and compiling data for sessions on the men’s group module quarterly.
∎ Responsible for finalizing outreach register, ensuring questionnaire upload in the commcare system, ensuring proper data entry in commcare regarding outreach activities and sessions in coordination with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team.
∎ Ensure that ethical and sound data collection and information management is implemented for appropriate data analysis, planning, evaluation, and advocacy, working closely with the SRH team and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team
∎ Document the projects learnings, monthly qualitative and quantitative achievements, challenges and prepare periodic reports as per project requirements
∎ Other Duties:
∎ Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams (midwife, volunteer), promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Supervisor/IRC management and liaising with other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment.
∎ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 (Two) years’ experience and at least 6months’ experience working in health projects either with an NGO or government body.
∎ Previous work experience with any local or International NGO
∎ Previous work experience on different modules facilitation will be an asset
∎ Understanding of the impact and dynamics of male violence against women and girls, and grounding in feminist, women, and girl-centred, anti-oppressive practice.
∎ Experience in male engagement programming
∎ experience in GBV programming for women and girls will be an asset
∎ Strong organizational skills, including the need to be agile by responding to requests at short notice, work on multiple projects with competing priorities at the same time with the ability to meet deadlines
∎ Demonstrable people and program management skills
∎ Adaptable and able to work under pressure in a demanding and fast-moving environment
∎ Initiative and motivation to work independently and develop solutions to problems.
∎ Sensitivity to protection issues and application of the principle of confidentiality
∎ Strong communication skills, with good understanding of relevant cross-cultural and sensitive issues.
∎ Qualitative and quantitative reporting skills
∎ Competency in MS Office Package
∎ Proficiently in reading, writing, and speaking in Bangla, knowledge in Rohingya or local language will add value
