∎ Nutrition and Health Project Officer is responsible for supervision of all the outreach and mobilization activities among the makeshift population. Nutrition and Health Project Officer will supervise the APO-outreach and APO-mobilization to implement activities. Nutrition and Health Project Officer is responsible for the quality of outreach and mobilization activities among makeshift community people. Nutrition and Health Project Officer is responsible for effective follow up and referral mechanism to the nutrition centers (GMP, SFP/ BSFP, OTPs, SCs).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective 1: Supervise outreach activities in refugee settlements and camps
∎ Supervise screening of all the under 05 children and PLW by MUAC at household level which children & PLW at risk of malnutrition (<125 mm) has been referred to the growth monitoring point at for full screening.
∎ Supervise referral of under 05 children and PLW to different nutrition centers (OTPs, SCs, and SFPs).
∎ Supervise follow up of malnourished cased detected in the community level.
∎ Supervise home visit of children U5, pregnant and lactating women at household level.
∎ Objective 2: Supervise mobilization activities in refugee settlements and camps
∎ Ensure smooth conduction of awareness raising sessions (male forum, action oriented sessions etc.).
∎ Ensure formation of mother support group and function smoothly.
∎ Ensure IYCF rapid and full assessment are ongoing at community level properly.
∎ Objective 3: Team management
∎ Plan and coordinate the team’s activities
∎ Identify the training needs of the team member and train them
∎ Ensure the HR administrative follow-up of his team members (leaves, attendance sheet etc.) according the HR procedures of the mission.
∎ Objective 4: Reporting and statistic of the center
∎ Preparation, compilation, cross checking of the monthly statistical reports on (screening, GMP, home visits, sprinkles distribution and monitoring, awareness sessions, cooking demonstrations, etc.).
∎ Analysis of the collected data and produce narrative report with proper recommendations and share with deputy program manager.
∎ Objective 5: Communication, collaboration and coordination
∎ Participate in the coordination meetings (internal ACF meetings and external meetings with other partners CiC, UNHCR, MoH, SMS and others).
∎ Communicate and coordinate the outreach nutrition activities with nutrition center supervisors, MHCP&GP, WaSH and Food security programs on regular basis.
∎ Keep a regular contact with elite people of the community, block leaders, majhis, and staff members of other stakeholder organization.
∎ Objective 6: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;
∎ Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;
∎ Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities;
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees;
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Ability for coordination & negotiation with partners working for Camp population.
∎ Strong leadership and organizational skills
∎ Excellent skill of both Bangla and English language (listening, reading, writing and speaking)
∎ Understanding and speaking Chittagonian, local language is preferable.
∎ Good knowledge on the local culture
∎ Good interpersonal/ Public relationship
∎ Sense of confidentiality
∎ Ability to work under pressure
∎ Ability to set and manage priorities
∎ Ability to work in a team
∎ Strong flexibility is required in terms of mobility and working hours.
Salary: Tk. 55000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: Two (2) Yearly (Basic Salary)
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary
∎ Performance Bonus: from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year depending on performance
