∎ Reporting to: Immunization Specialist, Health Section, Dhaka
∎ Objectives: The objective of hiring the consultant is to provide technical support in development of National Vaccine action plan, implementation of Gavi Health System Strengthening program and mass Covid19 vaccination programme. The consultant will work closely with LD, MNCAH for strengthening immunization and vaccination system in Bangladesh and Covid Vaccine Delivery Support (CDS) program. This consultancy will greatly contribute to leveraging UN Agency`s priority results through DGHS.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The consultants will perform the specific tasks in collaboration with DGHS, MOHFW and other development of National Vaccine action plan, implementation of Gavi Health System Strengthening program and Covid19 vaccination programme. The major assignments are:
∎ Provide technical support to MoH in capacity building, budgeting, and implementation of Covid19 vaccination programme etc.
∎ Provide support to DGHS on operation and maintenance of ULTFs, cold and freezer room at the Central Level and distribution of Pfizer vaccine
∎ Provide support in operation and maintenance of WICs and associated Equipment at the District level and updating the cold chain inventories
∎ Provide support to DGHS for vaccine & logistics distribution, stock maintenance and regular updating central VLMIS
∎ The consultant must build a strong rapport with MOLGRD, MOHFW, all relevant Mayors, Chief Officers and Chief Health Officer of City Corporations for improving the immunization and overall urban health agenda, particularly for recruiting new vaccinators and Urban Model PHC Centres. Coordinate with respective City Corporations & Municipalities' Mayors & Chief Executive Officers and with the Ministries (HSD, MoH&FW and LGD, MoLGRD&C, LGIs) for 'Inter-ministerial Urban Health Coordination Executive Committee'.
∎ The consultant will work closely with LD, MNCAH for strengthening immunization and vaccination system in Bangladesh and Covid Vaccine Delivery Support program.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in public health planning and management and/or in relevant areas of maternal and child health program particularly work experience immunization programme, and implementation of large-scale immunization activities.
∎ Experience in running public health programmes or large programmes in public sector.
∎ Working experience and familiarity with the health programme of the Ministry of MOHFW or international organization will be an asset.
Salary:
∎ The Consultant will get BDT 300,000.00 per month.
