MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct normal vaginal deliveries at the Char Health Center by following all standard clinical protocols.

  • Receive and manage both indoor and outdoor patients as per BNMC guidelines, provide counseling to patients and caregivers, and deliver basic health education.

  • Provide OPD services, support telemedicine consultations, and perform kit-based diagnostic tests according to project protocols.

  • Identify high-risk pregnancies and other patients with high-risk conditions and refer them to higher-level facilities in consultation with doctors, when required.

  • Accompany referred mothers to the referral hospital, if needed, to help prevent complications and ensure safe transfer.

  • Attend monthly refresher trainings, work according to duty rosters, prepare medicine requisitions, and maintain medicines and general stock as instructed by the in-charge.

  • Maintain accurate and updated patient records using the digital health information system.

  • Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
