Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or any relevant discipline from a reputed university.

• At least 10 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

• Minimum 10 years of total experience in merchandising (knit garments sector preferred).

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills with excellent command of English.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and merchandising software/tools.

• In-depth knowledge of garment manufacturing, costing, and buyer requirements.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and execute the entire merchandising process from order development to shipment.

• Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, production teams, and other departments to ensure timely order execution.

• Negotiate prices, costing, and delivery schedules with buyers and suppliers.

• Monitor sample development and approvals, ensuring all quality standards and buyer requirements are met.

• Prepare and follow up order sheets, purchase orders, and all necessary documentation.

• Ensure accurate production planning in line with buyer requirements and deadlines.

• Regularly visit the production floor to monitor order progress and troubleshoot issues.

• Maintain strong relationships with buyers and suppliers to ensure long-term business partnerships.

• Analyze market trends, product developments, and production capacities to optimize workflow.

• Prepare regular reports on order status and performance for management review.
