Education:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology
∎ Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field
Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ 4-5 years of experience in merchandising within the RMG sector.
∎ Strong knowledge of textile materials, costing, and production processes.
∎ Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to effectively collaborate with teams and meet buyer expectations.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Drive new product development from concept to creation, ensuring designs are aligned with seasonal trends and buyer preferences.
∎ Collaborate closely with design and R&D teams to develop innovative and commercially viable products.
∎ Utilize CAD and graphic design tools to translate ideas into visual samples for buyer presentation and approvals.
∎ Research and source appropriate fabrics, trims, and washes—particularly in denim—to meet aesthetic, quality, and cost targets.
∎ Manage sample development timelines and ensure on-time delivery of proto, fit, and pre-production samples.
∎ Work closely with washing and production teams to develop and finalize wash standards and finishes.
∎ Maintain effective communication with buyers and suppliers for design inputs, approvals, and feedback during the development process.
∎ Stay updated on market trends, buyer-specific requirements, and sustainability standards to support innovative product development.
