Job Responsibilities:
∎ As Kappahl Merchandiser you are expected to-
∎ Be transparent, ethical and always act on behalf of Kappahl in the daily work routines and in Business relations.
∎ Have a business and economic knowledge with a clear picture regarding : price calculations, profit margins, consumption, rate fluctuations and general business relations.
∎ Market knowledge for contemporary fashion trend input and updated about how it effects our products.
∎ To strive for constant improvement regarding price, quality and lead time. To be creative.
∎ Must have in depth knowledge of all price components- Fabric price, consumption, trim price, embellishments, and wash prices.
∎ Need to be experience and knowledgeable regarding Denim fabric and product development.
∎ Work actively and effectively with price and Value drivers.
∎ Need to be capable to work with vendors and fabric mills in overseas market from sourcing till shipment.
∎ Work experience with sustainable denim product and PLM will be added advantages.
∎ Assist and support Merchandising Manager in sourcing and developing new products.
∎ Ensure that MM/CM are updated regarding order status. Any deviations to be reported timely. Also report to BO team if needed.
∎ Support and pro-actively work for a strong co-operation in the PO team as well as BO team and suppliers.
∎ Do risk analysis of all inquiries received and then pass to suppliers. Discuss with buyer if any inconsistencies or technical difficulty.
∎ Wherever required advise options to BO for best outcome and prices.
∎ Evaluate offers and suggest most suitable supplier for order manufacturing.
∎ Ensure that PO team is following set routines and alert responsible person if any exceptions.
∎ Passing clear, accurate and timely information to all team members to fulfill their responsibilities.
∎ Ensure that production takes place in agreed unit.
∎ Daily effective correspondence with BO and suppliers.
∎ To evaluate and give solutions for order related queries and complications.
∎ Update Merchandising Manager and set action plans together.
∎ Support Merchandising Manager in supplier sourcing and evaluation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 6-8 years in Apparel Merchandising for Denim and Twill product, Minimum 4 years as a Merchandiser at factory level and 2-3 years as Merchandisers at any EU liaison office is preferred.
∎ Candidate should have proven experience in material sourcing, development and quotation, order follow-up, traceability and global sustainability initiatives.
∎ Computer knowledge: Excel, word, Power point, Email communication and PLM
∎ Good command over written and spoken English is necessary.
