Job Context:
∎ The role of MHPSS&P Expert is To support the mission in the development of a relevant technical strategy, in scaling up MHPSS and protection programs, and insuring quality intervention, respecting sectorial standards and integrating a gender transformative approach.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mission 1: To contribute to the strategy and positioning of the MHPSS technical department in Bangladesh
∎ Analysis of the MHPSS-P humanitarian situation in Bangladesh through continuous assessment and in line with ACF key sectoral strategic axes of intervention.
∎ Identification of MHPSS-P actors and partners in ACF's areas of intervention.
∎ Linkage with relevant authorities, clusters and Technical Working Groups.
∎ Support the development of integration of the MHPSS-P sector with other ACF technical sectors (FSL/DRR, NUT/HEALTH, WASH).
∎ Example of tasks:
∎ Collect data and information on the humanitarian situation and the MHPSS-P sector and formalize the analysis.
∎ Explore partnerships in the MHPSS-P sector in Bangladesh.
∎ Formalize the strategic technical axes of MHPSS-P interventions (with prioritization of actions) at the mission level.
∎ Identify existing technical groups / key actors in MHPSS-P, attend coordination meetings and maintain contact.
∎ Share and explain the MHPSS-P policy and strategic axes at the mission level, and how the sector operates within all other sectors.
∎ Coordinate with other department heads to ensure the best impact of projects through integration.
∎ Mission 2: To support the mission in the development of the MHPSS-P component in Bangladesh:
∎ C Support the analysis of the donor representation in Bangladesh in regard to the MHPSS-P sector.
∎ With the support of the DCD-P, represent ACF MHPSS-P sector in the donor community.
∎ Develop adapted logics of intervention according to strategic axis pre-defined and based on needs.
∎ Build capacity of the sectors Heads and other senior staff such as Deputy Heads, Program Managers of different sector on MHPSS-P and protection and potential integration.
∎ Example of tasks:
∎ Contribute to the donors' mapping.
∎ Attend meetings with donors to explain ACF MHPSS-P sector strategy.
∎ Based on assessments and gathering of accurate information, write concept notes and proposals to submit projects to donors identified.
∎ Organize strategic workshops to involve the sectors Heads in the MHPSS-P sector development.
∎ Mission 3: To support the existing MHPSS-P program (Cox's Bazaar) and insure respect of international / ACF standards and quality interventions
∎ Provide regular supervision to the MHPSS-P teams
∎ Provide specific training to the MHPSS-P teams on topics related to MHPSS-P, Protection and Gender.
∎ Support the coordination with the TWG and other stakeholders.
∎ Support the HR management at the field level.
∎ Examples of tasks:
∎ Organize weekly support to the MHPSS-P teams on site and remotely.
∎ Identify training needs and organize workshops accordingly.
∎ Train ACF and partners' staff on protocols and standards of interventions.
∎ Set up supervision mechanism for ACF MHPSS staff.
∎ Attend the TWG in Cox's Bazaar.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5 years professional experience in MHPSS intervention;
∎ Minimum 3 years of Managerial Experience in any INGO or development context area of Bangladesh.
∎ Ability to provide technical guidelines, design and develop tools and resources;
∎ Experience in humanitarian and development field;
∎ Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a multicultural setting;
∎ Fluency in English with excellent communication skills;
∎ Ability to work independently and deliver effective results;
Salary:
∎ Tk. 187000 (Monthly)
∎ Gross monthly Salary BDT 187,000/-
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ End of Contract Benefits: 30 days salary per year of service (No eligibility pro-rated under 1 year)
