Experience:
MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
FCPS / MD / MS / MRCP or equivalent postgraduate qualification in any recognized specialty.
Valid BMDC Registration is mandatory.
Additional qualifications in Hospital Administration (MHA), Healthcare Management, MPH, MBA (Healthcare), or equivalent will receive preference.
Minimum 5 years of professional clinical experience.
At least 3 years in a senior leadership role such as Medical Director, Deputy Medical Director, Clinical Director, Head of Medical Services, or equivalent.
Experience in reputed tertiary hospitals or corporate healthcare institutions will be highly preferred.
Proven experience in hospital administration, healthcare quality management, clinical governance, and multidisciplinary team leadership.
Experience in hospital accreditation processes (National or International) will be an added advantage.
Sound knowledge of hospital administration and healthcare regulations.
Strong understanding of Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement methodologies.
Experience in strategic planning and organizational development.
Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams effectively.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS), EMR, and Microsoft Office applications.

We are looking for a highly experienced, visionary, and result-oriented Medical Director to provide strategic leadership for all clinical operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of medical excellence, ensuring patient safety, strengthening clinical governance, improving operational efficiency, and driving continuous quality improvement across all medical departments.
The Medical Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), consultants, specialists, nursing leadership, and administrative teams to develop long-term clinical strategies that support sustainable organizational growth while ensuring outstanding patient outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Governance
Provide strategic direction and leadership for all medical, clinical, and healthcare services of the hospital.
Ensure the highest standards of patient care through evidence-based medical practice.
Establish, review, and continuously improve clinical policies, protocols, SOPs, and treatment guidelines.
Lead Clinical Governance initiatives to improve quality, patient safety, and clinical effectiveness.
Promote ethical medical practice while ensuring compliance with BMDC regulations and national healthcare standards.
Oversee mortality, morbidity, infection control, patient safety, and clinical audit committees.
Hospital Operations
Supervise day-to-day clinical operations across all departments.
Ensure smooth coordination among consultants, medical officers, nursing services, diagnostic units, emergency, ICU, OT, pharmacy, and administration.
Develop strategies to improve operational efficiency while maintaining excellent healthcare standards.
Monitor hospital performance indicators and implement corrective action plans whenever necessary.
Participate in strategic planning for hospital expansion, service development, and infrastructure improvement.
Medical Staff Management
Lead, mentor, supervise, and evaluate consultants, specialists, resident physicians, medical officers, and clinical teams.
Participate in recruitment, credentialing, privileging, and performance appraisal of medical professionals.
Promote continuous professional development through CMEs, workshops, seminars, and clinical training programs.
Foster teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration among all healthcare professionals.
Quality Assurance & Patient Safety
Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) programs.
Ensure adherence to national and international healthcare quality standards.
Lead patient safety initiatives and continuous quality improvement projects.
Monitor clinical incidents and implement preventive risk management strategies.
Conduct regular medical audits and clinical performance evaluations.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with BMDC, DGHS, Ministry of Health, and all applicable healthcare regulations.
Maintain readiness for inspections, licensing, accreditation, and quality certifications.
Ensure ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and legal compliance in all clinical activities.
Strategic Development
Collaborate with senior management in developing long-term hospital strategies.
Identify opportunities for introducing new medical specialties, centers of excellence, and advanced healthcare services.
Support business growth by enhancing clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
Represent the hospital in professional, academic, governmental, and healthcare forums.
Financial & Resource Management
Assist management in clinical budgeting and resource allocation.
Optimize utilization of medical equipment, manpower, and hospital resources.
Support cost-effective healthcare delivery without compromising quality.
Reporting
Prepare periodic clinical performance reports for hospital management.
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend strategic improvements.
Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the Board of Directors or Chief Executive Officer.
