Educational Requirements:
∎ Medical Assistant Training Course/ Diploma in Medical Faculty or equivalent (at least 3-years course) with valid BMDC registration.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ CONTRACT DURATION: February, 2022.
∎ START DATE: As Soon As Possible.
∎ WORK LOCATION: Nayapara, Teknaf.
∎ CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term.
∎ Medical Assistant is responsible for enhancing coordination between Stabilization Centers and Nutrition and Health Centers, detection and referral of suitable cases to inpatient nutrition centers.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective 1: Coordination between Stabilization Centers and Nutrition/ Health Centers:
∎ Visit the Nutrition/ Health centers and sensitize SC admission and referral criteria.
∎ Visit the Nutrition/ Health center to ensure that the admission criteria for referral to SC are respected.
∎ Provide proper counselling to the caregivers while referring to the SC.
∎ Perform medical examination of the patients called for and take the patients to SC, if applicable.
∎ Visit the Nutrition center while discharging the patients, and ensure proper referral by collecting the reception copy of the referral slip.
∎ Accompany the patient when there is a medical transfer to a higher center.
∎ Maintain proper communication and collaboration with other partner organizations (Save the Children, MSF, IOM etc.).
∎ Ensure that close follow up and feedback system is in place for the referral cases between SC, health posts, PHCs and nutrition centers.
∎ Objective 2: Field/ Home Visit:
∎ Visit the households of the defaulter/ absent beneficiaries.
∎ Follow up visit the households of the non-breastfed babies to ensure hygiene practices, along with volunteers.
∎ Visit the household of the CMAMI beneficiaries to crosscheck information before enrolling into management of non-breastfed children.
∎ Objective 3: Data Management and Reporting:
∎ Prepare the Health/ Nutrition center visit report regularly.
∎ Prepare the home visit report.
∎ Inform any urgent issue to line manager/DPM/PM related to Stabilization Center or catchment area.
∎ Objective 4: Proactively Support ACF’s Commitments to Gender Equality, Child Protection and Disability Sensitivity.
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary.
∎ Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries.
∎ Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities.
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees.
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Respective Program/ Department Will be select (Roaster-Day/Night, 5/6 working day). Department decision will be final for Location and Duty Roaster.
∎ 1-2 Years working experience in clinical services/ nutrition program.
∎ Experience in management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAMI, CMAM, IYCF, care practices) is a plus.
∎ Communication skills - Excellent interpersonal skills.
∎ Experience in refugee camp is a preferable.
∎ Professional written and spoken ENGLISH and BENGALI.
∎ Strong flexibility is required in terms of mobility and working hours.
∎ Good command on Microsoft word and excel.
∎ Ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, showing patience, compassion and diplomacy.
∎ Consultation/ counselling skill.
∎ Community based activity skill.

Salary: Tk. 55000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ End of Contract Benefits: As per organization policy.
