Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent technical diploma with relevant experience).

• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, if necessary, to ensure machine uptime and maintenance.
• Familiarity with industry-standard maintenance practices and software tools (e.g., CMMS).
• Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the garment manufacturing industry or similar production environments.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment used in garment manufacturing.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing sewing machines, fabric cutting machines, pressing equipment, and other production machinery.
• Proficient in using mechanical diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with various teams and departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Maintenance & Repair:

• Oversee the routine and preventive maintenance of all mechanical systems, machines, and equipment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.

• Ensure proper calibration and functionality of machines to meet production targets and quality standards.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical guidance and support to machine operators and maintenance teams.

• Work closely with the production team to identify mechanical issues impacting production processes.

• Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrading of machinery and equipment.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain an inventory of mechanical spare parts and tools required for maintenance tasks.

• Coordinate with the procurement department for timely replenishment of spare parts.

Safety Compliance:

• Ensure that all mechanical equipment and machinery comply with safety standards and regulations.

• Monitor safe work practices and provide safety training to staff as needed.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and machine performance.

• Prepare reports on machine breakdowns, maintenance schedules, and technical issues to inform upper management.

Continuous Improvement:

• Suggest and implement improvements in machinery, processes, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).

• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring mechanical issues and propose solutions to prevent future breakdowns.
