Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning:
Develop and implement MEAL plans aligned with project objectives and indicators.
Monitor project activities regularly to assess progress and ensure timely implementation.
Collect, manage, and analyze data to measure project outcomes and impact.
Design and conduct surveys, assessments, and evaluations (baseline, midline, endline, and outcome surveys).
Support program teams in using MEAL data for decision-making and adaptive management.
Ensure data quality assurance through regular checks, spot verification, and validation processes.
Document lessons learned, best practices, and case studies to improve program effectiveness.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit timely MEAL reports to management, donors, and partners.
Contribute to donor reports by providing relevant data and analysis.
Maintain organized MEAL documentation for audits, evaluations, and learning purposes.
Capacity Building and Coordination:
Build the capacity of project staff on MEAL tools, processes, and data usage.
Support proposal development by providing input on log frames, indicators, and MEAL approaches.
Others:
MEAL Officer will also perform additional work according to the project’s needs and as being assigned by the CDD authority.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Adhere to CDD`s Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by the supervisor/line manager or CDD management.
Job Context
Established in 1996, the Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD achieves this by building the technical capacities of development stakeholders and communities in inclusive practices, while simultaneously empowering persons with disabilities through leadership development, rehabilitation, and other vital support.
CDD, a renowned leader in disability-inclusive development, is supported by international and national partners, offering an inclusive and respectful work environment.
CDD`s Executive Director received the Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asia`s Nobel Prize) in 2010, and in 2018, CDD was recognized by the Bangladesh Government as a leading disability and development organization.
Since 2017, CDD has been implementing the Inclusive Rohingya Response Program with the support of different funding partners at Cox’s Bazar.
CDD is accepting applications for the position of ‘MEAL Officer’ under a project named ‘Inclusive Humanitarian Action for the protracted crisis of the Rohingya and the host in Cox`s Bazar’.
