Education:
  • Bachelor’s/honors degree in Education, Social Science or related discipline from recognized college/university.      

  • Knowledge of the local context in the Rohingya community.      

  • Strong communication skills.      

  • Sensitivity to cultural and diversity issues.      

  • At least 3 years’ work experience in relevant roles in renowned organizations.     

  • Fluency in relevant languages (e.g., Rohingya, English).

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of gender dynamics and gender-responsive education strategies.      

  • Maintain open and professional relations with all the project team members, promoting a strong & respectful team spirit, ensuring effective communication, and opportunities for debriefing.     

  • Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security of the team, promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Mukti Cox’s Bazar management and liaising with other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment.      

  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor are to ensure quality implementation and contribution to Mukti Cox’s Bazar.      

  • Strong facilitation skills, proven experience in conducting trainings/capacity building on education related issues in English and Bengali.      

  • Demonstrated experience working in the FDMN response, humanitarian programs, and collaboration with other humanitarian actors.      

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively, including the ability to advocate for and simplify complex education concepts.      

  • Excellent English and Bangla oral and written communication skills. Can effectively translate to and from English to Bangla to Chittagong/Rohingya language.      

  • An effective, strategic, and innovative influence with high initiative to facilitate change in integrating gender and protection minimum standard.      

  • High level of adaptability, ability to work in multi-cultural teams.      

  • Collaborative and team player; works well with others.

  • Available for regular travel to field sites.      

  • Commitment to and understanding of Mukti Cox’s Bazar core values and principles.     

  • Commitment and willingness to work across multiple sectors and with a variety of actors.

Responsibilities & Context:

Context

The MC Field Assistant plays a vital role in supporting humanitarian education initiatives at the grassroots level in the Rohingya camps. Access to quality learning remains limited due to overcrowding, scarce resources, and the complexities of delivering education in emergency settings. To address these challenges, humanitarian agencies collaborate to provide non-formal education, establish learning centers, and deliver skills development programs that give Rohingya children and adolescents the chance to learn, grow, and build hope for the future. MC Field Assistants are essential in bridging the gap between education providers and the community, ensuring that education services are delivered effectively, inclusively, and with consistent quality across the camps.

Job Responsibilities:

 Planning & Implementation:

  • Prepare operational plan for the Learning Centers (LC) & execute accordingly.

  • Ensure LC opening & closing on time.

  • Ensure teachers & volunteers attendance & presence at LC/CBLF regularly.

 Capacity Development:

  • Conduct TLC, training, orientation for teachers & volunteers. 

  • Regular LC/CBLF visit and support directly to the teachers for conducting classes and demonstrates classroom session at LC/CBLF level.

  • Assist teachers for preparing Lesson plan.

  • Ensure teachers and children yearly performance assessment by involve directly.

  • Ensure that children achieve learning outcomes.

Administration & Logistics:

  • Prepare teachers & volunteers salary sheets accordingly & disbursing the same.

  • Ensure logistical arrangements for education activities, including the distribution of materials and transportation.

  • Ensure proper use of teaching learning materials in classroom and maintain stock position accordingly by involve directly.

  • Ensure all teaching learning materials distribution and keep records. Ensure prevention of any type of misuse.

Community Engagement:

  • Keep good relations with the Community leaders & Parents.

  • Attend & ensure monthly PSG/CESG, parents meeting & others events.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Conduct regular field visits to project sites to monitor the implementation of educational activities and gather relevant data.

  • Compile and report data on program progress, challenges, and success stories.

Policy Compliance & Safeguarding:

  • Ensure Practice of child safeguarding policy, PSEA policy, Gender policy, Code of Conduct among team members.

  • Ensure child friendly environment in LC/CBLF area. Ensure LC display with required education materials.

  • Raise awareness among team & stakeholders about the importance of policy compliance of organization, government & donor and safeguarding in the context of the Rohingya response.

  • Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program`s objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding & Child protection for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns
