∎ Minimum 1 year of experience as a Material Engineer or higher in a mobile manufacturing and assembly environment.
∎ Good understanding of material receiving, return, and control processes.
∎ Proficiency in English communication and strong computer skills.
∎ Working knowledge of ERP or other material control software is preferred.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Plan and maintain optimal inventory of raw materials, components (e.g., PCBs, displays, casings), and consumables.
∎ Develop and maintain Material Requirement Plans (MRP) based on production forecasts and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
∎ Monitor daily material availability to prevent production delays or overstocking.
∎ Coordinate with Engineering teams to ensure BOM accuracy and manage changes during NPI (New Product Introduction).
∎ Update material specs and part codes in ERP/MES systems during design or product updates.
∎ Identify and track End-of-Life (EOL) materials and propose suitable alternatives.
∎ Ensure all incoming materials meet quality standards in coordination with the QA team.
∎ Investigate and resolve issues related to material defects, non-conformance, or supplier rejections.
∎ Maintain records for material inspection, certifications, and compliance documents (e.g., RoHS, MSDS).
∎ Work with the Procurement team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of required materials.
∎ Support vendor qualification and technical communication with suppliers.
∎ Implement FIFO, FEFO, and other inventory best practices with warehouse personnel.
∎ Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and material reconciliations.
∎ Ensure proper storage conditions, especially for sensitive/ESD materials.
∎ Analyze usage data to identify scrap trends and reduce material waste.
∎ Recommend cost-saving opportunities by suggesting alternative materials or suppliers.
∎ Support reuse/recycle initiatives for excess or rejected components.

∎ We are hiring a Material Engineer for our Smartphone Assembly Factory who will play a key role in material planning, control, and quality assurance throughout the production lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing materials for mobile manufacturing, a good grasp of ERP systems, and strong English and computer skills.
