Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the entire production process, from raw material input to finished products.
∎ Plan and schedule production to meet customer orders and market demands while optimizing productivity.
∎ Coordinate with departments such as procurement, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain for seamless operations.
∎ Lead, motivate, and manage a team of supervisors, machine operators, and other production staff.
∎ Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower costs.
∎ Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to minimize waste and improve throughput.
∎ Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards in the plant.
∎ Enforce safety policies to protect workers from accidents, injuries, and exposure to hazardous materials.
∎ Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and safety training.
∎ Collaborate with the maintenance department to ensure machinery and equipment are well-maintained and downtime is minimized.
∎ Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities.
∎ Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in steel production and re-rolling.
