Responsibilities & Context:
- Plan, organize, and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly weaving production targets.
- Ensure smooth operation of looms (air jet, rapier, shuttle, or others as applicable).
- Monitor loom efficiency, machine utilization, and fabric quality on a regular basis.
- Control and minimize weaving defects, ensuring zero-defect fabric production.
- Supervise and guide supervisors, operators, fitters, and helpers for effective performance.
- Manage shift operations, manpower allocation, attendance, and discipline.
- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules for weaving machines.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to looms, dobby, jacquard, and accessories.
- Coordinate with Production Planning & Control (PPC), Sourcing, and Maintenance departments.
- Ensure correct yarn requirements, fabric design, weave plans, and loom settings.
- Prepare and submit production reports, efficiency reports, downtime analysis, and wastage reports.
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices (Kaizen, 5S, etc.) to improve productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt new technologies in weaving operations.
