Responsibilities & Context:
Job Summary:
We are a reputed Knit Garments Group of Companies seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Manager – Transport & Vehicle Maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for managing the company`s transport operations and ensuring proper maintenance of more than 50 vehicles of various types and brands owned by the company. He will lead the Transport Officers and coordinate with head office & factory management to ensure smooth logistics support.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the company’s transport and vehicle maintenance team.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of 50+ vehicles of different types and brands.
Oversee transport operations including driver supervision, vehicle scheduling, and route management.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues of vehicles.
Ensure all vehicles comply with fitness, registration, insurance, and safety regulations.
Maintain and monitor records of repairs, fuel usage, and maintenance costs.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure cost control in procurement.
Provide leadership, guidance, and training to Transport Officers and support staff.
Coordinate with top management to ensure uninterrupted transport services to Head Office & factory operations.
Prepare periodic reports on fleet performance, maintenance cost analysis, and operational efficiency.
