Hands-on experience in mold making, tool design, CNC machines, and CAD/CAM software.
Strong knowledge of press tools, injection molds, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and precision machining.
Expertise in troubleshooting and tool maintenance techniques.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all toolroom activities.
Supervise the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of tools, molds, dies, and jigs.
Ensure proper utilization of toolroom machines, equipment, and resources.
Maintain inventory of tools and ensure timely procurement of required materials.
Ensure high precision and quality standards in tool manufacturing and maintenance.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules to avoid production downtime.
Inspect and approve tools, dies, and fixtures before release to the production line.
Lead, mentor, and guide the toolroom team to enhance productivity and skill levels.
Provide technical training to team members and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Foster a collaborative environment between the toolroom, production, and quality teams.
Monitor toolroom costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Suggest process improvements to enhance tool life and reduce tool maintenance downtime.
Prepare and maintain toolroom performance reports, downtime analysis, and cost summaries.
Document tool designs, modifications, and maintenance history for future reference.
