• Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Supply Chain Management
• Master of Business Studies (MBS) in Supply Chain Management

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.

• Certifications in supply chain or procurement (CSCP, CPSM) will be an added advantage.

• Having a PGD in Garment Business from IBA, Dhaka University, will be an added advantage.

• At least 10 years

• Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in yarn sourcing/management in the Bangladesh RMG or textile sector with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.

• Deep knowledge of yarn types, spinning mills, and supplier markets (local & international).

• Expertise in procurement, inventory management systems, and ERP software.

• Strong understanding of compliance, sustainability, and quality standards.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Leadership capability to drive and inspire teams.

• Analytical approach and sound problem-solving skills.

• Adaptability to fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

1. Demand & Inventory Planning
   • Collaborate with production planning, merchandising, and sales teams to forecast yarn requirements based on business plans and orders.
   • Develop and execute inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce excess or obsolete inventory, and minimize holding costs.
2. Operations & Logistics
   • Ensure timely delivery of yarn to production units (both internal and external).
   • Monitor logistics performance; resolve any bottlenecks or delays in the yarn supply chain.
   • Oversee inventory audits, stock reconciliations, and documentation.
3. Quality Assurance
   • Work closely with QA/QC teams to implement and enforce stringent quality standards for all incoming yarn.
   • Proactively handle non-conformance, claims, and supplier corrective actions.
4. Supplier Relationship Management
   • Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers.
   • Periodically evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Compliance & Sustainability
   • Ensure yarn sourcing complies with local regulations, buyer codes of conduct, and sustainability initiatives (e.g., BCI Cotton, recycled yarn).
   • Maintain robust documentation for buyer/social compliance audits.
6. Team Leadership & Development
   • Lead, mentor, and develop the yarn management team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
