Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology
Experience Requirements:
∎ 4 to 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Understanding about the latest merchandising trends and best practices in EU and Indian textile industry.
∎ Exposure of textile production management & ready-made garment manufacturing (different segments) is must.
∎ Experience on - Outerwear, Jacket, Pudding/Padded Jacket, all kind of woven product.
∎ Strong understanding of fabric and ready-made garments dynamics.
∎ Knowledge about quality standards like Six Sigma, Kaizen, ISO processes.
∎ Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) is preferable.
∎ Understanding of the fabric patterns, fashion trends, ready-made garment trends.
∎ Knows the strengths and challenges of each team member and sets goals, expectations and responsibilities without ambiguity. Delegates work, inspects expectations & work and gives feedback regularly. Coaches, mentors and motivates team on the ground.
∎ Ensure Lean Manufacturing Principles are maintained with all projects and continuously track Lean Manufacturing metrics.
∎ Supervise and sustain profitable operations through focus on budgeting, cost analysis and cost optimization of manpower, material and machinery resources.
∎ Facilitate in-depth root cause analysis and drive all planned initiatives to achieve Operational Excellence.
∎ Ensure First Time Through (FTT), Reduction of Non-productive-time (NPT), process loss of material and Cost per minute (CPM).
∎ Contribute by analysing and controlling section wise costs - like reducing raw material cost, yarn wastage, Fabric wastage and fabric line layout measurements.
∎ Analyse energy/ raw material/ consumables costs. Take initiatives for production efficiency, reduction in CPM & Process loss of material. Clear production costs unit wise on daily basis.
∎ Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures
∎ Liaise among different units, Cutting, Washing and Ironing for smooth workflow.
∎ Ensure adherence to compliance (along with Compliance team) for buyer is followed religiously (Electrical Safety, Housekeeping, Fire safety, Free yellow lines, use of PPE, Accurate record keeping, Hygiene & Sanitation, Clean and updated First aid boxes, Chemical Management).
