Skills Required:
Additional Requirements:
Strong knowledge of feed mill machinery and equipment.
Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with automation/SCADA systems in feed production.
Knowledge of quality and safety standards (ISO, HACCP, ISO 22000).
Good understanding of raw material handling, formulation process, and storage systems.
Responsibilities & Context:
- Plan, monitor, and control daily feed production to meet sales demand and inventory targets.
- Ensure proper operation of all machinery and plant performance KPIs (capacity utilization, energy consumption, wastage, downtime).
- Coordinate with QA/QC and Nutrition teams to ensure feed quality meets company standards.
- Implement and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance schedules. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
- Ensure spare parts inventory is maintained at optimum levels.
- Supervise and guide plant supervisors, operators, and technical staff.
- Conduct training and skill development sessions for operators and maintenance teams.
- Enforce discipline, safety, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000 and other industry standards.
- Monitor raw material handling and finished product storage in coordination with Store/Logistics.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production and maintenance reports.
- Analyze variances and recommend process improvements.
- Coordinate with Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, QA/QC, and other departments.
