Responsibilities & Context: - Quality Management & Control:
- Oversee all quality assurance operations in the knit department from fabric inspection to final shipment.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, compliance standards, and company quality objectives.
- Implement and monitor in-line and end-line quality control processes.
- Develop and update quality SOPs in coordination with production and technical teams.
- Technical Audits:
- Conduct regular technical audits across all production stages (cutting, sewing, finishing) to identify non-conformities and root causes.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
- Maintain documentation and reporting of all technical audits and follow-ups.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze production quality data and lead initiatives for process improvements and defect reduction.
- Promote Lean and Six Sigma practices in the quality assurance process.
- Drive continuous improvement projects across the knit production area.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and motivate the quality control team to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct performance reviews and skill development sessions for quality personnel.
- Build a proactive quality culture among team members.
- Buyer Communication & Compliance:
- Act as the point of contact for buyers and third-party QC teams for quality-related issues.
- Ensure all buyer SOPs and quality requirements are clearly communicated and followed on the production floor.
- Prepare for and manage buyer quality audits and factory evaluations.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation for quality records, audit reports, and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Report major quality issues to senior management with risk assessment and action plans.
- Coordination with Other Departments:
- Collaborate closely with production, merchandising, and technical teams to resolve quality-related challenges.
- Provide input during pre-production meetings and risk assessments for new styles.
