Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
∎ BSC in Civil Engineering. Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Private or Humanitarian field.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): NGO/ Other Services

Job Context:
∎ Oversee all of Construction works from Initial Stage to Final Stage, Including but not limited to creating AutoCAD Designs & BoQs. Supporting Line Manager with administrative works as per required.
∎ Contract Duration: 31st December, 2019 (With Possibility of Extension).
∎ Manager- Construction, will work anywhere in Cox`s Bazar.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective 1: Oversee all Construction Works & Support the Construction Unit
∎ Working alongside the Senior Construction Manager in managing the construction team, utilising human resources in an efficient manner.
∎ Ensure subordinates Implement standard operating procedures for construction projects, communicating effectively with other departments and teams as required.
∎ Ensure that subordinates have daily updates of Ongoing Construction Works.
∎ Objective 2: Support the Design team members in-Line with needs and context
∎ Receive, review and evaluate construction requests
∎ Manage construction budgets, raising PRs and ensure timely delivery dates.
∎ Support Design team in creating technical drawings & BoQs, if required.
∎ Objective 3: Administrative Support
∎ Ensure that subordinates carry out all documentation regarding each Construction/Rehabilitation accordingly.
∎ Creating and updating construction related budgets file which the Construction Unit will use.
∎ Inter Communication between relevant department staff regarding construction works.
∎ Objective 4: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;
∎ Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;
∎ Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities;
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees;
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Additional Requirements:
∎ General: Knowledge of NGOs, cultural awareness of Bangladesh and Cox Bazar.
∎ Specific: Advanced knowledge of auto-CAD, Excel & engineering best practices.

Salary: Tk. 93699 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 1 month Gross salary every year;
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary;
∎ Performance Bonus: from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year depending on performance;
∎ End of Contract Benefits: As per Organizational Policy.
∎ Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year);
∎ 18 days of paid annual leaves per year.
∎ 10 days of paid casual leaves per year.
∎ 14 days of paid sick leaves per year.
∎ Free and unlimited access to the certifying e-learning platform Cross knowledge ©.
∎ Technical training at HQ or regional level (during first year of contract). - This for HoD and senior Managers.
∎ Intermission Workshop at France once a year. This for HoD only
∎ Participation to external training costs upon eligibility of the request.
