Skills Required: Must be fluent in written and verbal English
Additional Requirements: - Must have knowledge in labour law and rules.
- Capable of handling all audits.
- Continuous monitoring the compliance matters.
- Have quality to control personnel working under him.
- Knowledge of various buyer codes of conduct (COC) and compliance requirements, such as BSCI, SEDEX, NIRAPON and RSC.
- Proficiency in national labor laws, factory rules, and health & safety regulations, including standards like BNBC-2020 and NFPA.
- Experience in conducting internal audits, managing external audits, and developing and implementing corrective action plans.
- Strong skills in developing and delivering training programs and effectively communicating compliance requirements to all levels of employees.
Responsibilities & Context: - Create, implement, and manage compliance policies and procedures to align the factory with laws, labor standards, and buyer codes of conduct.
- Conduct internal audits to identify compliance gaps and prepare the factory for buyer-led external social and technical audits (e.g., WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX).
- Maintain up-to-date records, registers, and all relevant documentation required for compliance, and prepare clear reports for management and regulators.
- Train factory employees on health, safety, security, fire, and other compliance-related issues to ensure awareness and adherence to policies.
- Perform risk assessments, identify non-compliance issues, and develop and implement Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to address findings from internal and external audits.
- Serve as a liaison between factory management and workers to foster good relations and address worker concerns and grievances related to compliance.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws, health and safety regulations, and buyer requirements to ensure the factory remains compliant.
- Support the factory in achieving and maintaining international certifications (e.g., BSCI, ACCORD, Alliance) and ensuring compliance with buyer-specific requirements.
