Responsibilities & Context:
The Production Manager / Sr. Production Manager– Denim Garments (Sewing) is responsible for overseeing end-to-end sewing operations in denim garment manufacturing. The role ensures achievement of production targets, maintaining quality standards, optimizing line efficiency, managing manpower, and controlling production costs while adhering to delivery schedules and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
Plan daily and monthly sewing production targets based on shipment schedules.
Ensure smooth line loading and style changeovers.
Allocate manpower efficiently across sewing lines.
Monitor operator efficiency and productivity.
Improve line efficiency.
Reduce rejection, alteration, and rework percentages.
Ensure adherence to buyer quality standards.
Coordinate with QA team to reduce DHU (Defects per Hundred Units).
Implement lean manufacturing practices.
Improve SMV adherence and productivity.
Reduce bottlenecks in sewing operations.
Ensure compliance with factory safety standards.
Maintain discipline and shop floor control.
Coordinate with cutting, washing, finishing, IE, and QA departments.
Communicate with merchandising for production status updates.
