Responsibilities & Context:
Lead and manage the complete Knit Fabric Finishing Department to achieve
Ensure finishing quality as per buyer specifications, including GSM, width, shrinkage, spirality, hand feel, appearance, and dimensional stability.
Plan and control finishing processes such as Stentering, Compacting,
Brushing/Raising, Sueding, Shearing, Heat Setting, Calendaring, Bonding, etc.
Optimize machine efficiency, production capacity, manpower, chemical consumption, energy use, and fabric wastage.
Monitor and reduce rejection, reprocessing, defects, and production losses through effective root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Coordinate closely with Production Planning, Dyeing, Quality, Knitting, Maintenance,
Merchandising, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth production and timely delivery.
Develop and maintain appropriate process parameters, SOPs, and quality standards for different fabric qualities.
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, safety standards, environmental requirements, and relevant certifications such as OEKO-TEX, GOTS and GRS.
