Responsibilities & Context:

1. Laboratory Testing & Quality Control

• Perform routine physical and performance testing of raw materials, base fabrics, coated interlining, and finished products.

• Conduct laboratory tests according to approved internal procedures, customer specifications, and applicable international standards.

• Prepare test samples and ensure proper sample conditioning and testing procedures.

• Identify and report abnormal test results, quality deviations, and non-conformities.

• Support investigation of quality issues and assist in corrective and preventive actions.

2. Interlining & Fusing Evaluation

• Evaluate interlining performance, bonding quality, and fusing characteristics.

• Conduct peel/bond strength and related performance tests where applicable.

• Support evaluation of fusing parameters such as temperature, pressure, time, and bonding performance.

• Assist in troubleshooting bonding and coating-related quality problems.

• Maintain proper records of fusing and bonding test results.

3. Raw Material & Chemical Testing

• Conduct inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, base fabrics, chemicals, and other laboratory samples.

• Verify material quality against approved specifications.

• Assist in monitoring chemical-related quality requirements.

• Support chemical management and testing activities related to customer requirements, RSL/MRSL, OEKO-TEX®, and other applicable standards.

4. Production & Finished Product Support

• Provide laboratory testing support to Production and Quality teams.

• Conduct testing of production samples and finished products as required.

• Assist Production and QA teams in resolving technical and quality-related issues.

• Ensure products meet approved quality parameters before release.

5. Laboratory Equipment & Calibration

• Operate laboratory testing equipment safely and correctly.

• Maintain laboratory equipment in good working condition.

• Support equipment calibration, verification, and maintenance activities.

• Maintain calibration and equipment-related records.

• Immediately report equipment malfunction or abnormal performance to the responsible person.

6. Documentation & Traceability

• Maintain accurate laboratory test reports, records, worksheets, and registers.

• Ensure proper identification and traceability of samples and test results.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and other laboratory reports as required.

• Maintain laboratory SOPs, testing procedures, formats, and related documentation.

• Ensure all records are properly maintained and easily retrievable.

7. Sample Management

• Receive, identify, label, prepare, store, and dispose of laboratory samples according to approved procedures.

• Maintain sample retention and traceability systems.

• Ensure samples are protected from contamination, damage, or mix-up.

8. Quality, Compliance & Audit Support

• Follow company Quality Management System requirements and laboratory SOPs.

• Support internal, customer, certification, and third-party audits.

• Assist in maintaining laboratory readiness for relevant quality and compliance requirements.

• Follow applicable testing standards such as ISO, AATCC, ASTM, DIN, EN, and customer-specific test methods where required.

• Support compliance activities related to OEKO-TEX®, RSL/MRSL, chemical management, and other customer or certification requirements, where applicable.

• Ensure laboratory activities comply with approved safety and environmental procedures.

• Participate in continuous improvement activities related to laboratory and product quality.
