Role Overview
The GM / DGM of Yarn Marketing will lead the company’s sales strategy to achieve revenue targets by developing new business and maintaining strong relationships with garment manufacturers, buying houses, and export markets. He will oversee the entire sales cycle—from market analysis and price negotiation to production coordination and payment collection.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute yarn marketing and sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
Manage domestic and international yarn sales, including export customers where applicable.
Develop new customers and maintain strong relationships with existing buyers.
Monitor market demand, yarn prices, competitors, and industry trends.
Prepare pricing and commercial proposals based on production cost, market conditions, and customer requirements.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Commercial, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure timely order execution.
Handle customer complaints and ensure quick resolution of quality, delivery, and commercial issues.
Forecast sales and prepare monthly/quarterly sales plans.
Monitor receivables, outstanding payments, and customer credit exposure.
Identify opportunities for new yarn products, markets, and customer segments.
Lead and motivate the yarn marketing/sales team and monitor individual performance.
Maintain accurate sales reports, market intelligence, customer databases, and sales forecasts.
Ensure achievement of sales volume, revenue, profitability, and collection targets.
Represent the company in customer meetings, textile exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events.
