Experience:
A Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in any discipline from a reputed Public/Private University.
10+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
Preference for FMCG experience in the FMCG sector, particularly in Biscuits, Beverages, and Toiletries, will be highly valued, as it showcases familiarity with the unique challenges and dynamics of this industry.
The applicant must possess a deep understanding of sales and marketing strategies, with a track record of implementing effective plans to expand market share and boost revenue.
Leadership & Strategy
Provide strategic leadership to the sales team, aligning departmental goals with overall company objectives.
Guide, mentor, and support SMs, DSMs, and ASMs to maximize team performance.
Develop and implement sales plans, forecasts, and budgets to achieve targeted results.
Ensure sales strategies are aligned with market trends, competition, and customer needs.
Performance Management
Monitor, review, and evaluate the performance of SMs, DSMs, and ASMs against sales targets and KPIs.
Provide coaching and performance feedback, and implement improvement plans where necessary.
Ensure timely reporting of sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights to senior management.
Business Development
Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and client segments.
Oversee key account management to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Develop and maintain high-level relationships with strategic clients.
Operational Excellence
Streamline sales processes and implement best practices for efficiency and scalability.
Coordinate with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of sales campaigns and product launches.
Monitor market dynamics and recommend adjustments to pricing, product positioning, and promotional activities.
People & Culture
Build a positive, results-driven, and collaborative sales culture.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of sales leadership roles (SM/DSM/ASM).
Promote professional development and career growth opportunities for team members.
