Experience:
Operations & Technical Support:
· Provide day-to-day operational and technical support for customer infrastructure environments in line with ESS service standards and SLAs.
· Monitor data center, server, virtualization, and related systems to ensure availability, performance, and stability.
· Proactively identify and report potential issues through continuous monitoring and routine health checks.
· Troubleshoot OS, server, virtualization, and service-related issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.
· Participate in assigned support activities, technical calls, meetings, and escalation processes as required by operations or the Head of Department.
Data Center & Virtualization Support:
· Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical servers and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent).
· Support server provisioning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
· Assist in managing storage, backup, and recovery systems to ensure data availability and integrity.
· Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) operations, including restore testing and validation activities.
Implementation, Upgrade & PoC Activities:
· Support new infrastructure implementations, solution deployments, and system upgrade activities based on customer requirements.
· Provide upgradation support for existing environments and assist in new technology rollouts.
· Execute Proof of Concepts (PoC) for new technologies or solutions to validate feasibility, performance, and compatibility before production deployment.
Research, Development & Continuous Improvement:
· Conduct research and development (R&D) activities on emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
· Assist in identifying opportunities for service improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
· Share technical knowledge and findings with team members to support innovation and continuous improvement.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
· Coordinate with internal teams, vendors and OEM partners for issue resolution, escalations, and project delivery.
· Support senior engineers during project execution, maintenance windows, and critical activities.
Security, Compliance & Documentation:
· Ensure compliance with security policies, operational procedures, and industry best practices across managed environments.
· Assist in implementing system hardening, access control, and patch management guidelines.
· Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational and support reports.
Reporting & Management Support:
· Maintain incident, problem, and change records in accordance with organization’s processes.
· Provide regular status updates and technical reports to supervisors and management as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by management in line with organizational goals and responsibilities.
