Job Context:
∎ Virgo Media Limited (Channel 9), a leading private Satellite Television Channel is looking for energetic & proactive individual for this position.
∎ Job Objectives: To ensure proper operation of Transmission and Network Control. One of the main key responsibilities of Broadcast Operations & Engineering is controlled from this Master Control Room (MCR).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sound knowledge about Computer with Broadcast Operations Software.
∎ Follow the Regular Event Schedule for controlling the regular Transmission Operations.
∎ Follow the standard Technical Quality whether it is maintained or not in programs, news events, live events, commercials and anything that broadcast from Channel Nine.
∎ Ensure the proper time management for every event that broadcasts from Channel Nine.
∎ Follow the basic criteria of sensor-ship for programs, news events, commercials or any other events that broadcasts from Channel Nine.
∎ Ensure the proper Live Events Coverage. To keep contact with Presentation, Line Producer, IT Dept and with all the concern people to give best out put through Channel Nine Transmission.
∎ Ensure the regular compilation of Transmission Log Schedule, which is developed by Presentation.
∎ Some necessary decisions have to take for proper presentation at some crucial moments for uninterrupted transmission.
∎ Take the necessary instant decisions to ensure uninterrupted transmission for any break down or any other mishaps occurs.
∎ Monitoring and guiding Junior Colleagues and Transmission Assistants for better Transmission Operations.
∎ Submit the Transmission Report to the concern authority to take necessary step if any problems are noticed during regular Transmission.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge on specific network operating systems like Microsoft NT or 2000, or UNIX.
∎ Direct experience in the Television Channel will be preferred for the post.
Salary:
