Responsibilities & Context:
Plan, organize and control daily, weekly and monthly production schedules of prestressed concrete sleepers.
Ensure achievement of production targets in accordance with railway supply schedules and project requirements.
Optimize plant capacity utilization and maintain uninterrupted production flow.
Supervise all stages of sleeper manufacturing including mould preparation, prestressing of HTS wires, concrete batching and casting, vibration and finishing, curing, and de-tensioning/demoulding.
Ensure sleepers are produced strictly as per Bangladesh Railway specifications.
Monitor availability and consumption of cement, HTS wires, aggregates, admixtures, inserts and fittings.
Implement strict safety practices during prestressing operations and heavy equipment handling.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for the proper functioning of prestressing jacks, stressing beds, batching plants, gantry cranes and vibrators.
Supervise production supervisors, operators and workers.
Maintain records of daily production, raw material consumption, quality reports and machine utilization.
Identify opportunities to improve plant productivity, process efficiency and product quality.
