Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure fire safety requirements contained in the Emergency Response plan are compiled within all facilities
∎ Supervise maintenance of fire safety work in premises as per Accord, NFPA standard
∎ Assign responsibilities to Compliance and Safety personnel to conduct daily checks within the premises and propose changes to keep the site free from fire hazards
∎ Ensure basic requirements of means of egress as per Accord, NFPA standard as well as occupants are familiar with the means of escape located within the premises
∎ Prepare industrial sensing documents for the occupants of the premises, special focus on fire safety and earth quake
∎ Prepare and Implement Hot Work procedure and establish permit to work system (in accordance with NFPS 51B)
∎ Conduct fire drills and emergency exercise for occupants of premises quarterly and as per requirements of Accord/NFPA standard, BNBC 2006 & FSCD requirements
∎ Conduct risk assessment of activities that could cause fire in the factory premises
∎ Train, co-ordinate and supervise the factory emergency response team for premises in the first-aid, firefighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergency as per BLR 2015
∎ Conduct regular inspection of factory premises on a quarterly basis to observe safe working environment.
∎ Keep records of all fire safety documents
∎ Investigate incidentsEnsure file protection and detection system in place as per NFPA 10,13,14,20,22,25,72,252
∎ Identify fixed equipment damage and ensure detail evaluation safety assessment by structural engineer immediately after earthquake
