Position: IT Network Security Expert
Employment Type: Full-Time

Office Time: 9:30 AM- 6:00 PM (Sunday-Thursday)
Location:  Baridhara J Block, Notun Bazar, Dhaka

Role Overview: The IT Network Security Expert is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining the organization's network, cybersecurity infrastructure & database management. The role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems by protecting networks, servers, applications, and digital assets from cyber threats while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Network Security Management

• Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise network infrastructure

• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, IDS/IPS, and proxy servers.

• Monitor network traffic and investigate suspicious activities.

• Ensure secure remote access solutions.

• Procure and configure new systems

• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation

• Promote infrastructure best practices and transfer technical knowledge to members

• Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and Nexus switches

• Identifying requirements for network/communication hardware, software, services, and facilities

• Managing all stages in life cycle of network/communications hardware/software, including design, testing, maintenance and upgrades

Cybersecurity Operations

• Conduct continuous security monitoring and threat detection.

• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate penetration testing.

• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.

• Develop and maintain incident response procedures.

Security Administration

• Manage endpoint security solutions, antivirus, EDR, and email security.

• Administer identity and access management (IAM), Active Directory, MFA, and privileged access controls.

• Implement security patches and system hardening across servers and network devices.

Risk & Compliance

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS, or other relevant security frameworks.

• Develop and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures.

• Support internal and external security audits.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor SIEM platforms and security logs.

• Prepare security dashboards, audit reports, and risk assessments.

• Report security incidents and recommend corrective actions.

Business Continuity & User Awareness

• Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning.

• Conduct regular backup verification and recovery testing.

• Conduct cybersecurity awareness training for employees.

• Promote best practices for information security across the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements 

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, CSE, Computer Engineering, or any discipline with required experience.

Requirements:

• 4–8 years of experience in Network Security, Cybersecurity or Information Security.

• Experience managing enterprise network environments.

• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and cloud security.

• Experience in incident response and vulnerability management.

Technical Skills:

• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing & Switching

• Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, Check Point

• Windows Server & Linux Administration

• Active Directory & Group Policy

• VPN Technologies
