It works within a generation through convincing the governments to change laws, linking policy makers with people on the ground, pooling knowledge and resources, and rallying support from people and organisations from different corners for making lasting change happen on a massive scale. WaterAid currently is looking for a dynamic, committed, passionate and self-driven individual for the position of `Information Technology (IT) Specialist` for its country office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
∎ Reportable to : Head of Finance and Administration
∎ Working hours : Full time (05 days and minimum 37.5 hours per week)
∎ Contract tenure : Fixed Term, for 03 years, with a possibility of extension
Job Responsibilities:
∎ IT management and Support is one of the important support functions of WA Bangladesh. The position is responsible for overall management of IT system and support to ensure efficient and effective work environment of the country office and staff working remotely within country. S/he is responsible to manage and maintain securely the IT infrastructure of WA Bangladesh following the organizational policy and procedures in consultation with WaterAid UK. The role is also responsible for smooth functioning of IT network and system administration within organisation, ensuring appropriate use of IT equipment and services in compliance with Global Standard, making/managing LAN, WAN, in-house software operational & available, managing computer & Network security, data security, troubleshooting, hardware and pro-active end-users Support.

Additional Requirements:
∎ CCNA Routing and Switching; CCNA Security - Certificate Course completed (Vendor qualified preferred), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) - course completed preferred.
∎ At least 06 (six) years of professional experience in IT with practical experience of network administration, configuration and network security (LAN & WAN). However, for excellent credentials or educational attainments from reputed institutions abroad, and/or fast track professional growth record, years of experience may be relaxed.
∎ Knowledge and experience in management and configuration of Office 365.
∎ Knowledge of user's mail configuration in Microsoft outlook & web mail, etc.
∎ Proven track record of the IT functions in any reputed international or national NGOs
∎ Substantial, appropriate and proven experience preferably in NGOs in managing IT functions focused on network, system and IT support
∎ Have acumen for self-learning, research and knowledge acquiring for upgrading technical skill with latest trend and technologies
∎ Persistent, problem solving mindset with customer focus and service delivery attitude
∎ Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and blisteringly urgent deadlines.
∎ Self-driven and ability to work independently or with minimum supervision
∎ Proper understanding of work culture, value proposition and delivery approach of NGOs
∎ Demonstrate respect for gender, diversity, organizational cultural and promote safeguarding and uphold organizational mission, vision and values
Salary:
∎ Monthly initial gross salary is BDT 120,000-125,000/-; may be negotiable for deserving candidate corresponding to higher credentials. Benefits include provident fund, gratuity, festival bonus, life insurance for self, health insurance for self, spouse and children, cell phone allowances etc. as per policy provision.
