Experience:
Significant senior leadership experience within apparel Product Development, Product Creation, or Technical functions.
Strong track record of working collaboratively with internationally recognized apparel/fashion brands.
Deep technical understanding of garment construction, materials, fit, product engineering, and manufacturing.
Proven experience in improving development speed, quality (Right-First-Time performance), cost efficiency, and execution.Demonstrated experience in implementing digital product development, 3D sampling, automation, or AI-enabled solutions.
Exceptional commercial acumen to balance creativity with margin, scalability, and customer priorities.
Experience managing sizeable teams and operating across multiple countries or manufacturing locations is highly preferred.
Define and execute the Group Product Development strategy aligned with organizational growth and customer business objectives.
Develop and implement a global Product Creation Framework, standardizing operating procedures and setting 3–5 year technology and capability roadmaps.
Establish a Product Governance Council and implement stage-gate approval methodologies to ensure product compliance, quality, and technical integrity.
Serve as the senior Product Development interface for strategic international buyers, design teams, and sourcing heads.
Co-create annual customer innovation calendars, identify new product category opportunities, and drive proactive sampling to boost order conversion rates.
Embed early-stage cost engineering and value engineering to optimize product costs, protect margins, and meet commercial targets without compromising design intent.
Drive yarn-to-garment engineering across flat-knit technologies, multi-gauge machinery, and advanced digital knit programming (Shima Seiki / Stoll).
Strengthen capabilities in pattern engineering, garment fit, yarn performance, and product risk assessment.
Apply Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) principles and early technical evaluation gates to minimize post-commercialization issues and ensure smooth bulk factory handovers.
Lead digital product creation by driving 3D virtual sampling, AI-enabled trend and design development, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) adoption.
Establish a centralized, AI-enabled Product Knowledge Hub, technical standards repository, and lessons-learned database.
Partner with Strategic Sourcing to build an agile network of yarn and trim suppliers, accelerating material development lead times and integrating sustainable solutions.
Significantly improve Right-First-Time (RFT) sample approval rates while shortening critical path lead times and reducing sample iterations.
Build and mentor a high-performance team, identifying capability gaps and establishing the Product Development Academy and Technical Excellence Academy.
