Experience:
2–3 years of experience in a managerial position within merchandising / marketing in the apparel manufacturing industry.
Proven experience handling a US $40–50 million business across multiple customers and departments.
Minimum experience handling a premium / luxury brand account.
Strong track record managing sweater categories (cotton, wool, blends, intarsia) and complex developments.
Experience working with multi-country manufacturing platforms.
Strong command of critical path management and commercial negotiation.
Experience in PLM (Centric or equivalent) and ERP-based workflow tracking.
Proven success in customer relationship management and cross-functional leadership.
Strong understanding of premium brand aesthetics, product integrity, and quality requirements.
Highly analytical with strong commercial judgment.
Own the business P&L for the assigned sweater account, ensuring volume, margin, and delivery targets are met.
Develop and execute seasonal account strategies, including capacity loading, pricing alignment, and new product category expansion.
Build strong relationships with customer teams across the UK, acting as the single point of accountability for SQ’s performance.
Support annual budgeting, forecast planning, and revenue target achievement for the account.
Lead seasonal product development aligned with the customer calendar (Design Adoption → Proto → SMS → Buy).
Ensure 100% alignment with customer standards on hand feel, yarn quality, finishing, and fit.
Drive fabric & yarn innovation, collaborating with the Raw Material Sourcing team for approved mills.
Ensure cost sheets are accurate, transparent, and updated.
Deliver right-first-time sampling through close coordination with PD, Technical, and QA teams.
Develop and own the Critical Path Tracker, covering development through delivery.
Conduct weekly milestone reviews and flag potential delays to leadership and the customer.
Align production schedules with factory planning to ensure zero airfreight / penalty scenarios.
Ensure 100% data accuracy in PLM and ERP systems.
Drive cost competitiveness through structured costing analysis and negotiation.
Partner with Finance and Sourcing to track EPM (Earnings per Minute), SAH, and Value Added (VA) targets for the account.
Evaluate and approve style-level costings ensuring target margin realization across multiple production bases.
Support quarterly margin reviews and cost benchmarking versus peer vendors.
Lead all customer communications, presentations, and business reviews with the customer teams.
Represent SQ in buyer visits, virtual meetings, and factory walkthroughs, ensuring alignment with the customer’s premium brand positioning.
Support new business initiatives and strategic growth plans with the customer (e.g., cashmere, recycled cotton, digital sampling).
Lead and mentor the merchandising and development team handling the sweater account.
Build cross-functional collaboration across Planning, PD, Sourcing, QA, and Production.
Drive a performance culture with clear accountability and development milestones.
Support training programs on brand standards, digital merchandising, and PLM discipline.
Ensure 100% of style developments and milestones are tracked in Centric PLM and ERP dashboards.
Leverage digital tools to enhance visibility, reduce lead time, and minimize sample iterations.
Publish a monthly Performance Dashboard covering OTIF, sample hit rate, and customer feedback (aligned to the customer vendor scorecard).
Partner with customer teams on sustainability initiatives, including recycled yarns, traceability, and carbon footprint reduction.
Ensure SQ’s operations meet the customer’s sustainability roadmap and transparency standards.
Support supplier certification updates and mill compliance verification for all nominated yarns.
