Education:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety, Fire Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering will receive preference.

Additional Requirements:

• Age 32 to 46 years

• Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Law and Fire Safety regulations.Good understanding of BNBC and NFPA fire safety requirements.

• Familiarity with Accord/RSC/Better Work fire safety standards will be an advantage.

• Ability to prepare reports using MS Office applications.Strong communication and leadership skills.Ability to conduct training programs independently.

• Capable of responding effectively during emergency situations.

Responsibilities & Context:

1. Maintain absolute, audit-ready compliance with the RMG Sustainability Council (RSC), Nirapon, Better Work Bangladesh (BWB), and various global brand Codes of Conduct (CoC).

2. Manage timely updates and renewals of Fire Licenses from Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defense (FSCD), factory licenses from DIFE, and architectural structural/fire layouts from RAJUK or local authorities.

3. Lead and manage overall Fire & Safety operations across all garment manufacturing units.

4. Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence requirements, buyer standards, and applicable national laws.

5. Develop, implement and regularly update Fire & Safety policies, procedures, SOPs and emergency response plans.

6. Conduct regular fire risk assessments, safety inspections and workplace hazard identification.

7. Ensure proper operation, inspection and maintenance of fire alarm, fire detection, firefighting equipment, hydrant, sprinkler and emergency systems.

8. Plan and conduct regular Fire Drill, Emergency Evacuation Drill and Safety Awareness Training for workers and employees.

9. Monitor emergency exits, evacuation routes, fire doors, stairways, assembly points and ensure they remain accessible at all times.
