Additional Requirements:
  • Strong expertise in SME banking products, including funded and non-funded facilities, as well as liability and wealth management products.

  • Proven capability in product design, pricing, and lifecycle management with a clear focus on profitability and asset quality.

  • Ability to drive digital transformation initiatives, including Digital Loan Origination Systems (LOS), process automation, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills to evaluate product performance, yield, market share, and field productivity.

  • Experience in defining sales strategies, KPIs, and incentive structures that balance growth, collections, and risk discipline.

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities, including coaching, training, and building high-performing field and product teams.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging senior management and presenting insights to MANCOM and other governance forum.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Lead the design, development and scaling of SME lending products aligned with Bangladesh’s market dynamics, seasonal business cycles, and local trade patterns.

  • ​ Develop and innovate both funded, non-funded, and liability products tailored to the evolving needs of small business owners.

  • Define and implement effective sales strategies, including clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for field teams that balance acquisition growth with collection and portfolio quality.

  • Collaborate with HR to strengthen training and capacity-building initiatives, ensuring field staff excellence in credit assessment and relationship banking.

  • Design and manage incentive and commission frameworks that motivate performance while discouraging excessive risk-taking.

  • Lead business transformation initiatives by transitioning from manual, paper-based processes to Digital Loan Origination Systems (LOS) to reduce turnaround time (TAT) and improve customer experience.

  • Work closely with the Credit Risk Management Department to refine credit underwriting standards based on field insights.

  • Develop and present high-level management dashboards and reports for SMT, covering market share, portfolio yield, productivity, and overall business performance.

  • Drive sustainable growth of the SME portfolio while maintaining strong asset quality and a low Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio through robust product structures and credit parameters.
