  • Minimum 20 years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a knit composite manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated success in establishing structured procurement systems, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage market intelligence and digital tools to inform strategic decisions.

  • Proven expertise in supplier due diligence, vendor onboarding, risk assessment, and long-term supplier relationship management.

  • Deep knowledge of yarn, trims, accessories, packaging materials, and international goods sourcing, with a strong network of local and global suppliers.

  • Experience in implementing sustainability, compliance, and traceability standards aligned with the requirements of leading global brands.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a track record of cost optimization and value creation.

Job Context

  • The Head of Procurement will be responsible for leading the end-to-end sourcing and procurement of raw materials and related items, including yarn, fabrics, trims, accessories, packaging, and imported goods. This is a transformation-focused leadership role, tasked with building a competitive edge and resilience in global sourcing. The incumbent will drive strategic initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and speed, while strengthening supplier partnerships and ensuring supply chain reliability. Success in this position requires strong negotiation skills, deep industry knowledge, and the vision to align procurement practices with evolving business objectives and global market dynamics

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Lead and continuously evolve the procurement strategy for yarn, fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging materials to ensure competitiveness and resilience.

  • Develop and implement procurement SOPs, supplier onboarding processes, and robust vendor evaluation frameworks.

  • Anticipate and respond to global market trends, commodity price fluctuations, and emerging sourcing opportunities.

Supplier Partnership & Global Sourcing

  • Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with both local and international suppliers.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms that deliver cost savings, innovation, and supply reliability.

  • Conduct due diligence, risk assessments, and compliance checks to safeguard the company`s reputation and operations.

Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation

  • Establish a data-driven procurement dashboard to monitor costs, supplier performance, and lead times.

  • Drive process improvements through digitization, automation, and analytics to improve speed, transparency, and decision-making.

  • Oversee import/export documentation, customs clearance, and international sourcing operations.

Cost Optimization & Value Creation

  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, alternative market development, and bulk procurement strategies.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and value creation in the supply chain.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner closely with production, merchandising, planning, and finance teams to ensure seamless material flow and alignment with business objectives.

  • Foster a culture of competitiveness, accountability, and continuous improvement across the procurement function.

Sustainability & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, buyer requirements, and international sustainability/ESG standards.

  • Champion sustainable procurement practices, ethical sourcing, and environmental responsibility across the supply chain.

Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

  • Build organizational capabilities to adapt to global sourcing challenges and future business needs.
