  • Bachelor of Law (LLB)/Master of Law (LLM) from a reputed university having no Third Class/Division/Equivalent GPA/CGPA in the Academic records.

Additional Requirements:
  • At least 5-7 years practical experience in relevant field in reputed Banks/NBFC/Law Firms/Group of companies. Experience as Head or Deputy Head of Legal will be an added advantage.

  • An active bar council member in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Well conversant in regulatory requirements, NBFC rules & regulations.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication (Bangla and English).

  • For higher deserving candidates requirements may be relaxed.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • To maintain Suits/Cases filed against International Leasing And Financial Services Limited (ILFSL) in different district courts of Bangladesh i.e., Dhaka Judge Court, Chattogram Judge Court, Narsingdi Judge Court and Supreme court of Bangladesh in case of Writ Petition, Civil Rule regarding CIB, etc.

  • Ensure filing and disposal of cases under NI Act, Arthorin Adalat Ain and others appropriate forum in Lower and Apex Courts.

  • Prepare report for sending Bangladesh Bank, DFIM (monthly, quarterly, half yearly) about litigation matter.

  • Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk management, and legal compliance.

  • Provide strategic leadership and collaborate with other functional areas to achieve business objectives with legal strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and Central Bank guidelines to Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.

  • Oversee legal drafts, review, and negotiation of legal documents, contracts, and agreements to protect the interests of the company.

  • Manage all legal disputes, litigation, and regulatory proceedings involving the Company, including coordination with external legal counsel.

  • Solve the legal matters by following relevant laws and regulations.

  • Provide legal assistance for daily operational matters, contracts, opinions, documentation, etc.

  • Provide guidance and support to the board of directors and senior management on corporate governance matters, ensuring adherence to corporate governance principles and best practices.

  • Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and liaise with then to ensure timely reporting.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the division.

  • Any others task assigned by the Management.
