Experience:

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks, Insurance, Law Firm, Financial Consultants

• Master of Law (LLM)

• Minimum 8 years of experience in legal practice, with a focus on life insurance law, compliance, and related legal affairs.
• Must be an advocate, registered with the Bangladesh Bar Council.
• Strong knowledge of Bangladeshi labour law and regulatory frameworks in the insurance sector.
• Proven experience in handling complex legal and compliance issues in the corporate environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.

• Provide expert legal advice on matters related to life insurance operations.

• Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the life insurance sector.

• Advise on legal risks and strategies for mitigation.

• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company meets all legal and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and update compliance practices accordingly.

• Ensure adherence to the compliance framework for life insurance operations.

• Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) and other government authorities.

• Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulators.

• Represent the company in legal proceedings and handle correspondence with regulatory bodies.

• Draft, review, and negotiate legal contracts, agreements, and documentation related to life insurance services.

• Oversee the management of company contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

• Supervise and coordinate litigation and dispute resolution, representing the company in court if necessary.

• Collaborate with external counsel as required to handle complex legal cases.

• Conduct internal compliance audits and ensure corrective actions are taken as needed.

• Provide training to company staff on legal and compliance matters, including updates on regulatory changes.

• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law, including handling employment contracts, employee relations, and dispute resolution.
