Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's in any discipline preferably in business background with good academic record. Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA), Certified Shariah Adviser and Auditor (CSAA) will be given preference.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise overall activities of Islamic Banking Division.
∎ Plan and formulate strategies to achieve business goals of Islamic Banking Division.
∎ Ensure optimization of business of Islamic Banking Windows.
∎ Conduct market survey of the Shariah based banking products, redesign new products and develop the existing products to penetrate the market.
∎ Monitor and ensure all compliance related to issues of Islamic Banking as per Bangladesh Bank guidelines.
∎ Maintain liaison with Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank to run business and operations smoothly.
∎ Ensure delivery of annual business and financial goals and targets for Branches/Islamic Windows.
∎ Guide the Branches/Islamic Windows and make sure that they have achieved their respective business targets.
∎ Extending support to business units, CRM, CAD and other related divisions/departments to enhance the business of Islamic Banking.
∎ Develop human resources capable to assume leadership of any Islamic Banking team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 15 years' of experience in financial industry (must have 5 years' experience as Head of Islamic Banking in scheduled commercial banks). Must have sound Islamic investment risk and compliance management knowledge. Must have proper knowledge/experience in coordination with the Shariah Supervisory committee.
