Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
∎ B.Sc in textile engineering or apparel manufacturing or Professional degree in Apparel Merchandising will be given preference.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Knit Garment Industry, Marketing and merchandising
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Acquiring new customers and maintaining the existing client base.
∎ Leading and managing a team of at least 30 merchandisers, and ensure proper efficiency of all team members.
∎ Capable of coordinating with production team in order to deliver on time shipment of orders.
∎ Capable of coordinating with planning manager to determine delivery schedule and sequence of production execution.
∎ In-depth knowledge of fabrics, trims and accessories.
∎ Capable of sourcing fabrics, trims and accessories locally and internationally.
∎ Work closely with quality team to ensure best final product, and monitor all aspects of quality from initial to final stage of production.
∎ Smooth and efficient correspondence and communication with buyers, locally as well as internationally.
∎ Capable of preparing costing sheets and pricing of knit garments.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge of textile and apparel industry principles, in particular merchandising.
∎ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
∎ Strong Computer Knowledge.
∎ Fluent in Bangla and English.
Salary: Negotiable
