Educational Requirements:
∎ Candidates should have an advanced degree in Development studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Public Health, or other relevant field with an understanding of the WASH relevant field, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Community Engagement.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and implement Wathab projects according to objectives and monitor all activities and results, expenditure e progress towards indicators. (complete Project Cycle Management, PCM)
∎ Willing to work in emergency in coordination with concerned technical colleague to support the beneficiaries in the field of shelter, water sanitation and hygiene during the response; participate to the layout/upgrade of the contingency plan.
∎ Adopt and use the Community Engagement approach, promoting the culture of beneficiaries, vulnerable involvement in the design of the response and during activities implementation.
∎ Prepare, organize and conduct participatory Hygiene Promotion sessions with beneficiaries and most vulnerable groups, and promote shared decision-making approach;
∎ Coach volunteers and other stakeholders on relevant topics related to the activities under her/his supervision.
∎ Create and update regularly the training topics, IEC material, tools and presentation; arrange and facilitate meetings and workshop.
∎ Preparing weekly, monthly & quarterly basis reports and follow up monitoring & evaluation report, information, inputs and statistics.
∎ Acting as the focal point of Hygiene Promotion and Sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) prevention in all Wathab projects.
∎ Effective Communication and Coordination
∎ Ensure that cross-cutting issues such as protection, gender mainstreamed in the project;
∎ Provide regular updates about stakeholder feedback, project progresses and hygiene promotion activities to colleagues and line manager.
∎ Ensure/develop effective communication between the line manager, the rest of the WatHab team, other departments and project interlocutors.
∎ Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, leaders, volunteers', woman group of each project to keep them up to progress, receive and respond to concerns and feedback as required to run program/projects.
∎ Organize and share documents and information, providing and requesting updates to/from other departments and team members and coordinate with them.
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountibility
∎ Monitor and evaluate programmes against international and ICRC standard to ensure that programmes are evidence-based and implemented in a comprehensive, client-focused, and cost-effective manner.
∎ Ensure robust monitoring and evaluation is carried out following ICRC project monitoring system using standard resources for data collection, regularly update of indicators, analysis and interpretation.
∎ Produce regularly reports, implement data collection, adopt properly field monitoring tools linked to project objective & results.
∎ Ensure adequate reporting on information about stakeholder feedback, challenge with possible solution, timely updates and briefings to line manager.
∎ Support all efforts towards accountability, specifically to our beneficiaries and to management and engaging beneficiary communities as equal in the design, monitoring and evaluation of our field projects.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 years of relevant work experience with Graduate degree; or 3 years relevant experience with Post Graduate degree;
∎ Documented experience as leader of Hygiene Promotion Programs for communities; understand the concept of behaviour change as key factor for success.
∎ Documented experience in monitoring, evaluation accountability, learning and Community Engagement; Experience in the accountability of affected population is a plus.
∎ Knowledge and understanding of WASH and Shelter programme implementation with a proven experience on hygiene promotion/awareness raising strategies and understanding of relationship between water, vector control, public health and value of behaviour change methodologies.
∎ Ability to remain flexible and to maintain good spirits in challenging and stressful situations
∎ Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
∎ Empathy and compassion with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
∎ Strong communication skills; she/he is able to organize, lead and report Focus Discussion Groups (FDG) with community representatives of different groups where priorities of most vulnerable (i.e.: women, elderly, persons with disabilities), are highlighted and taken care of within the limitation of the project.
∎ Language: Fluency English (spoken and written) and Fluency local language, Chittagonian (speak, understand) Others
∎ Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft office package (i.e, Ms Word, Ms Excel, Power point
