  • Strong understanding of gender mainstreaming, women`s rights, and social inclusion issues, particularly within marginalized communities.

  • Proven experience in building and managing relationships with CSOs, government bodies, and other stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, training, and facilitation skills, with experience in capacity-building initiatives.

  • Experience in advocacy, particularly around gender equality and women`s empowerment, is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with donor-funded projects and gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation processes.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary:

The Gender and Networking Officer will play a key role in advancing gender equality and fostering partnerships to support the "Gender Uplifting for Inclusive Development and Community Empowerment" project. The officer will lead efforts to integrate gender-sensitive approaches into all aspects of the project, while strengthening networks and partnerships with local and national stakeholders, CSOs, and government bodies. The position involves advocacy, capacity building, and collaborative engagement to ensure the project`s goals of gender inclusion and community empowerment are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1. Gender Integration and Advocacy

  • Lead the integration of gender-sensitive approaches into all project activities, ensuring that gender equality and women`s empowerment are core objectives.

  • Provide technical guidance on gender analysis, mainstreaming strategies, and action plans to ensure the project addresses gender-specific needs.

  • Work closely with project teams to ensure that gender considerations are embedded in planning, implementation, and monitoring processes.

  • Advocate for gender equality and women`s rights with community leaders, local authorities, and partners at the local and national levels.

  • 2. Networking and Partnership Building

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with CSOs, women`s groups, community leaders, and government stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for project initiatives.

  • Facilitate networking and partnership opportunities between local organizations, advocacy groups, and donors to enhance collective efforts in gender-focused advocacy.

  • Organize and participate in meetings, forums, and events that promote gender inclusion and community empowerment, building visibility and support for the project.

  • 3. Capacity Building

  • Design and deliver capacity-building workshops, training sessions, and awareness-raising activities for project staff, partners, and community groups on gender issues and inclusive development.

  • Support CSOs and local organizations in improving their capacity to engage in gender advocacy and influence policy at both local and national levels.

  • Provide continuous technical support to project teams, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to effectively address gender issues in their work.

  • 4. Monitoring, Reporting, and Learning

  • Collaborate with the project`s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team to develop gender-sensitive indicators and ensure gender-disaggregated data collection and analysis.

  • Regularly monitor the project`s impact on gender equality and women`s empowerment, identifying gaps and recommending corrective measures.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on gender integration, advocacy efforts, and partnership activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and donor requirements.

  • Capture and share lessons learned, best practices, and success stories related to gender and networking activities to inform future programming.

  • 5. Advocacy and Policy Influence

  • Lead advocacy campaigns and initiatives aimed at influencing gender-sensitive policies and practices at the local and national levels.

  • Engage with government officials, policymakers, and other key stakeholders to advocate for policy changes that support gender equality and inclusive development.

  • Collaborate with consortium partners to promote the adoption of best practices in gender inclusion and women`s empowerment across all project areas.

Job Location: Naria, Shariatpur with frequent field visits to other project upazilas and grassroots project locations.



Job Other Benifits:

    Monthly salary and allowances will be Tk 49,000 / -, in addition to two (2) festival bonus in a year.
