Job Context:
∎ For our Sourcing Office in Dhaka - we are looking for Fit Technician (Knit, Woven, Denim, Sweater)
∎ The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Sourcing Manager, Merchandise Manager & Merchandisers, Suppliers and Buyers in Europe & will report to Senior Sourcing Manager, Merchandise Manager & Buyers in Europe.
∎ Availability: ASAP
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Your Duties & Responsibilities:
∎ Should have elaborate knowledge on outerwear garments (especially padded and down jackets), all the materials of outer shells and inner shells with their functionality, all the m/c and operations required to make garments.
∎ Must possess strong skills on the complete layouts of production stages and efficiency building.
∎ Have an in-depth knowledge in wash and garment dying for the denims and non-denims.
∎ Sample fitting: Development, Proto, Fit, Size set, PPS, shipping samples, buyer ref, etc. as per Tally Weijl standard.
∎ Exercise risk assessment, should be able to identify critical process for bulk and alert upfront in sampling stage.
∎ Arrange overseas VC live fitting sessions with HQ technician, technical manager, buyers, designers and product/ buying head with fluent communication skills.
∎ Should be able to detail and publish the comments in Tally Weijl templates upon reviewing construction, measurements, patterns, workmanship, garments outlook presentation, fitting (dummy and model).
∎ Should have pattern making knowledge in paper and in software like Gerber/ Lectra to check and adjust the patterns given by suppliers and by HQ technician
∎ Should work on process simplification, bulk production feasibility and workmanship modification accordingly in sampling stage.
∎ For critical styles, join in PP meetings, review pilot run, and monitor mass production for complex products and the new vendors.
∎ Accumulate all the new fits, conduct samplings on new shapes and keep tracking the improvements in the bulks.
∎ Share the base patterns with the suppliers giving them directions on different stylings.
∎ Review the pre-production size sets and provide solutions on different workmanship improvements.
∎ Check the PPM, inline reports and work with the QA for the quality improvements
∎ Develop/ reinforce the SOP for sampling and developments.
∎ Should have the ability to conduct final inspections based on the Tally Weijl defect list, quality and logistic manuals.
