Job Context

For our Sourcing Office in Dhaka - we are looking for a Fit Technician

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Sourcing Manager, the Merchandise Manager, Merchandisers, suppliers, designers and buyers in Europe, and will report to the Technical and Quality Assurance Manager based in Europe

Job Responsibilities

• Duties & Responsibilities:
• Should have knowledge of women's garments, the materials and their functionality, and the machines and operations required to make the garments
• Must possess strong skills in the complete layouts of production stages and efficiency building
• Have in-depth knowledge of wash and garment dyeing
• Sample fitting: Development, Proto, Fit, Size Set, PPS, shipping samples, buyer references, etc., as per the company/brand’s standards
• Exercise risk assessment; should be able to identify critical processes for bulk production and alert upfront during the sampling stage
• Arrange overseas VC live fitting sessions with designers, buyers, the Technical & Quality Assurance Manager, and the Product/Buying Head, demonstrating fluent communication skills
• Should be able to detail and publish comments in PLM upon reviewing construction, measurements, patterns, workmanship, garment outlook presentation, and fitting (dummy and model)
• Should have pattern-making knowledge on paper and in software like Gerber/Lectra to check and adjust the patterns provided by suppliers and our Technical Team in Europe
• Share the base patterns with the suppliers, giving them directions for different stylings
• Should work on process simplification, bulk production feasibility, and workmanship modification during the sampling stage
• For critical styles, join PP meetings, review the pilot run, and monitor mass production for complex products and new vendors
• Accumulate all the new fits, conduct samplings on new shapes, and track improvements in the bulk production
• Review the pre-production size sets and provide solutions for different workmanship improvements
• Check the PPM, inline reports, and collaborate with QA for quality improvements
• Develop/reinforce the SOP for sampling and development
• Should have the ability to conduct final inspections based on the company/brand’s defect list, quality, and logistics manuals
