Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Fire & Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field).
Professional certifications in Fire Safety are preferred.
Sound knowledge of fire safety systems and industrial risk management.
Familiarity with BNBC, FSCD regulations, and buyer code of conduct (Nirapon , RSC).
Ability to lead safety drills and training programs.
Strong documentation and report writing skills.
Proactive, disciplined, and capable of working under pressure
Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures in line with local laws and buyer requirements.
Conduct routine fire safety inspections and audits throughout the factory premises.
Maintain and ensure the operational readiness of all fire-fighting equipment (extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, etc.).
Conduct and document fire risk assessments and hazard identification reports.
Ensure all fire exits, escape routes, and signage are compliant and unobstructed.
Coordinate with BGMEA, Fire Service & Civil Defence (FSCD), and other regulatory authorities as needed.
Organize regular fire safety training, fire drills, and evacuation drills for all factory employees.
Train emergency response teams (ERT), including first responders and fire marshals.
Promote a culture of fire safety awareness among all levels of staff and workers.
Maintain all records related to fire drills, safety inspections, equipment maintenance, and fire incident reports.
Ensure factory compliance with ACCORD/ALLIANCE/RSC fire safety standards, Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), and other relevant standards.
Assist in the renewal of fire licenses and approvals from regulatory bodies.
Respond to fire alarms or emergency situations and coordinate evacuations.
Investigate fire incidents or near misses and recommend preventive measures.
Prepare and submit incident reports to management and compliance auditors.
